Tom's Hot Dog Chili 1 pound of lean ground beef 1/4 to 1/2 cup of chopped onions chili powder to taste salt & pepper to taste 1 can of Texas Pete Chili Sauce bacon drippings (optional) Brown lean ground beef with onions, chili powder, salt & pepper. Add enough water to make a 1/2 gallom mixture. Simmer for one hour. Add small amount of bacon drippings. Add small amount of corn starch to 1 tbls of water taken from mixture. Stir water and cornstarch until blended, then add to mixture to thicken. Last, add a can of texas Pete Chili to mixture. Stir until blended and hot. Eat on hotdog and enjoy!

Sunday Mushroom Chicken 3 boneless chicken breasts, cut in half, or 6 thighs 1 can of golden mushroom soup 2 tbls oil 1 soup can water Sunday Morning Brown the chicken in oil on both sides. Add the mushroom soup with 1 soup can of water. Cover. Turn heat to simmer. Go to Church for at least 1 1/2 hours. When you get home, cook a pot of Minute Rice, add a salad and rolls, and Sunday Lunch will be done.

Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Canola or Olive oil 4 tablespoons flour--Pioneer Best (lowfat) 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup low/no fat milk 2 cups V-8 Vegetable juice--- Or two cups tomato juice 1 quart home-canned tomatoes with liquid Or substitute.... 1 can diced  tomatoes with liquid Directions: Put oil into skillet and heat until sizzling hot. Add flour and stir until golden brown. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Add juice, tomatoes, pepper, continue stirring. Simmer about 20 minutes, Add water if it becomes too thick. Salt to taste. Good on biscuits, toast or cornbread.
