for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the
man of God may be perfect, thoroughly

Verse Changes Everyday!
The Bible says to " study to show yourself approved"
this involves more than just an obligatory
'chapter a day' reading. It involves searching
diligently, verse by verse, precept upon
precept, digging deeper for the 'nuggets'
God's Word has to offer. We, as Christians,
need to KNOW what the Word says about
any given topic, so that we may help
others that have questions, or needs.
Our society has given a tremendous amount of
weight to the written word. We attach more importance
to the things we read than the things we hear or see.
Written words may impact us far more than they
should, simply because they are written. We seem
to think that if we find it in print then it must be
true.
Concerning Spiritual matters we must always be
aware that God's Word, the Bible, is the ultimate
authority. All else, including any thing that I may
write, MUST agree with Scripture.
It is far more important to study the Bible than
it is to study other writings ABOUT the Bible.
I am not opposed to reading those things other
believers have to share. Quite the contrary! I believe
a lot of the experiences we have should be shared
fro the purpose of helping others.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
" Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord
Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the
God of all comfort; who comfortheth us in
all our tribulation, that we may be able to
comfort them which are in any trouble, by the
comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted
by God."
However, we should never allow reading about
the Bible to become a substitute for reading
God's true ad living Word. Please let me
encourage all to read and study your Bible
diligently. And remember I care about you;
send me your prayer request, so I can pray
and believe with you. I know that the God
we serve hears and answers prayer, not
because of who we are, but because of
who He is!
